SUMMARY:Levitt AMP Wilmington Concert Series - Yilian Canizares Resilience Trio
DESCRIPTION:Yilian Cañizares is one of the most intriguing contemporary violinists\, singers and composers. Always staying true to her origins\, she skillfully blends jazz\, classical and Afro- Cuban rhythms with her otherworldly voice. Whether on stage or in a recording studio\, there are few talented artists like Yilian – who was born in Havana and settled in Switzerland – with such great respect for the past and sensitivity towards the future\, accompanied by a smile to die for. \nLevitt AMP Wilmington Music Series\nAs the Summer Concert Series at the Tina Betz Urban Artist Exchange continues\, mark your calendars for the #LevittAMP Wilmington Music Series starting August 6th through October 8th. \nThank you to the @levittfoundation for supporting our concert series and partnering with communities nationwide to bring together people of all ages and backgrounds through the power of free\, live music. SUMMARY:Levitt AMP Wilmington Concert Series - Malina Moye
DESCRIPTION:Flipping a Fender Stratocaster upside-down\, or a Gibson Flying V\, acclaimed genre-defying singer-songwriter and innovative lefty guitarist Malina Moye fills a void in the entertainment industry. Lauded as a musical pioneer and one of the world’s top guitarists of her generation by Guitar World Magazine\, she is a singular presence in the rock world and has received critical acclaim across the spectrum for her contributions to music culture. Moye’s latest album “Dirty” landed at the top of the Billboard blues chart and was listed among the top five albums of the year on Guitar World Magazine’s greatest guitar albums of 2023 list. The influential artist blurs the musical conversation between Pop\, Blues-Rock\, R & B and Soul. In addition to this signature sound\, her distinct Pop-Soul vocals are as powerful as her acclaimed songwriting. Constantly elevating her brand of music\, fashion\, and philanthropy\, Malina has carved out her own lane in today’s music scene and continues to make an indelible mark on the world.
